My local town, the beautiful walled medieval hill town of Paciano dates back to the 13th century. It sits under Mount Petravella and has been designated ‘I Borghi piu Belli d’Italia’ - one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. It is small and picturesque with narrow alleyways, cobble stones and stone walls. Paciano is entered through one of three medieval gates. It is recommended to park outside the walls as the streets are quite narrow - trust me I have tried! Paciano has various festivals throughout the year including a Spring Festival and an Olive Festival and is popular with tourists. My images reflect the beautiful architecture and feel of the town.
